Universal Plaza is a 230,000 square foot shopping center located on the southwest corner of University Drive & Commercial Boulevard. This shopping center enjoys a traffic count of over 100,000 cars daily and is surrounded by a growing population of over 397,000 in a 5-mile radius.

Universal Plaza is being re-developed to accommodate south Florida’s first SuperTarget, a 175,000 square foot mega store, which includes a grocery store, in addition to Target’s traditional discount merchandise. SuperTarget is expected to attract over 30,000 patrons per week to Universal Plaza. Construction began in September 2000, and SuperTarget opened in November 2001.
